Each year Chipping Sodbury Lions run a charity street Fair in Broad Street Chipping Sodbury. This event helps to raise many thousands of pounds for local charities. This is followed by the Carnival procession supported by many local groups and schools.
Although the Lions Club of Chipping Sodbury have helped the community for 50 years and Saturday 26th June will be the first weekend of Freedom” without Covid-19 restrictions. The theme this year will be “Heroes”.
The day starts at 10:30 am with the stalls all set up along the wide chippings of Broad Street, the road is closed to traffic and the sale is on!
There are many different stalls selling all kinds including old fashioned sweets, books, plants flowers, home made cakes, tombolas and raffles. The Lions run a special mobile raffle with a wheelbarrow and the lucky winner, wins a hamper of food.
From late-morning there are a various dancing displays, singers and bands in the street.

This is followed by the carnival procession led by the band starting at 15:00 from Chipping Sodbury School, there are many floats, people of all ages marching along with the marching band.
