What is the aim of Lions?

The principal aim of Lions Clubs is to provide help and funds to those in need, whilst enjoying the satisfaction, fellowship and fun that can be derived from taking part.

Lions Clubs are dedicated to improving the quality of life for those less fortunate people in our community.

Chipping Sodbury Lions Club provides direct service to our community by events such as the Chipping Sodbury Street Fair & Carnival, Christmas Santa Claus float, Golf Day, Carol Concert and its main activity is in raising funds for Charitable Purposes.

New Members Required

It is inevitable that in any organisation members move on through work commitments or many other reasons and they need to be replaced.

New ideas and personalities are the life blood of any forward thinking organisation and new members bring with them not only original ideas but fresh thought and outlook on established events.

If you can sell raffle tickets or dance tickets then so much the better, if you can organise and plan events, excellent, but even if you cannot we would still like your input.

Events do not run themselves and we need all the manpower possible to ensure the continued success of the Chipping Sodbury Lions Club.

What would you get out of joining?

It is a cliché, but you will get out of it what you put in! Lions has been described as a constructive form of relaxation.

Working together on fund raising and community welfare events is enormous fun. The satisfaction of seeing an event through from planning and organisation to successful conclusion can be tremendous.

Receiving the thanks of the recipients of your help, whether financial or practical, lifts your spirit.

On top of all that, there is the friendship and fellowship of members of the Chipping Sodbury Lions Club, of Lions throughout South West England & Wales, throughout Great Britain and throughout the world!
